Insurance Premiums

Just wanna know what people are paying for their premiums nowadays.

Man, don't believe them when they tell you that your insurance drops at age 25. I'm 25, no tickets/accidents. Primary driver of a '92 Gen 3 Toyota Camry - wife is listed as secondary. We we're paying $120/month last year, and they told me once I turned 25, my premiums would drop a lot. The renewal just came in at $145/month - For a freakin 10yr old car!! I shopped elsewhere, and Certas gave me the best rate at $115/month. I still think these guys can do better.

That seems a little too high for the scenario you outlined. Not to mention the fact that you have a secon car as well!

I'm not sure exactly how much we (family) are paying on each car, but it's approx. 300/mth for a '87 tercel, '91 Camry, '92 Camry and '99 Camry. Keep in mind there isnt' full coverage on all of the cars. This also takes into consideration a few fender benders and under 25.

Get a copy of your insurance policy and go through it line by line. If there is something you don't understand, call and get clarification.

A few things you can do to reduce the cost incl designating the car as a "pleasure vehicle", driven less than x kms, increase the deductible, remove third party coverage, house insurance with the same co., and most importantly shop around!!

That does seem high. I am 16 with one speeding ticket and my premium is $275 USD every 6 months which calculates out to $45.83 every month.

And with State Farm Insurance which is supposed to be one
of the best I pay something like 98 to 110 dollars a month
and thats with full coverage...but I've also got the good student
