bad things and lots of promises.
ELPrototypes is building one that seems to be going very well!
Post this same topic at http://www.teamsc3.com the guy who owns the project car for it is a SC3 member. He can tell you all about it.
I see that this site is Burien Toyota... but isn't Burien Toyota at http://www.poweredbytoyota.com ?

Does anyone know anything about the project that was going on at Burien Toyota where they installed a turbo in a 5S-FE Camry?
The link is below. There has been no update to the site in awhile and no response via e-mail. I haven't called them yet.
Does anyone know anything about this product? They were going to be selling it.

After talking to Ray for a long time and in detail, it sounds good to me, however I've been met with nothing but skeptics who also say that they've talked to him extensively. Maybe they know something that I don't, but I would like to see what the ELP kit can put on paper as hard proof to show that it is better than Burien.

Yes they are the same thing except http://www.poweredbytoyota.com is older and more out of date.
But they lead to basically the same dealership.

Except Accord doesn't have 5S-FE and their turbocharger will not fit the 5S-FE and $8000????????? That's expensive. Tell me that's at least CDN$!!!

BTW, I went to the accord forum and noticed someone's selling an Accord 4-cyl turbo for $8000 new. Man aren't those 5S-FE owners lucky.

The kit still cost close to that when you remeber its 4000$US so far and that does not include instalation and electronics. One of my friends has a custum turbo on his car and it costed him more then 6000$ just for the hardware.
Actually it is just under $2500 US for the Burien kit. I figure with conversion rate and labour it will be about $4000 - $5000 CDN.

I think money is the question for all of us. I too would have already had it on my car if it wasn't such a big investment. Its the same with the s/c guys.
But, I was talking to Yoshio and he said that we could talk about a custom turbo. His prices start at $5000 CDN and up. I will go to see him one day and compare what he has with Burien's kit.

I have installed a total of 4 turbo kits and let me tell you its dam easy as long as its not a full upgrade kit including internals. The only problem i ever had was fitting the turbo into a cramped CRX bay with a 2.2 litter h22 and also fitting the dam intercooler was hard too.
i believe they are making an intercooler they are just focusing on the basics for now. Beefed internals and an intercooler will come quickly once the setup is working stable.
