Camry power window help

Great board! I have a 96 Camry that I just replaced the window regulator on the passander side. It will go down, but not up when activated from passanger side. Nothing whappens when the passanger window is activated from the drivers side. All other windows work fine. I changed switches, but that didn't work. I can reverse the wires on the regulator to get the window to go up, looks like something is wrong either in the wiring or possibly in the electronics on the driver side control. Has anyone ever ran into anything like this.

Check the red/blue wire. That wire should have continuity from the master driver door switch to the passenger side switch. If theres a break in that wire the window will not work at all from the driver switch and only go down from the passenger switch. Could it have been damaged when you put the new regulator in? If not then check the harness where it goes from the body to the door. That small are where it flexes is usually where they break. Keep in mind the wire can look ok externally even though its split under the insulation. Hope that helps some.

Likely a wiring break where the wire flexes by the door joint. You should also try using the switches with the door in different positions, door closed, half open or full open. Maybe the broken wire will contact enough to allow the window to go up. Then leave it like that till you have time to fix the wiring.

Do a search of windows or power window or etc. to find other threads some of which already tell how to make the repair.

apparently it is going down, so it is getting power. Assuming that you car is immobile with the key in it.

I have this problem and somebody mentioned (in one of the posting about 6 months ago) to file the connection of the connectors due to oxidation.
Another thing that was suggested was, the motor is not powerful enough.. if u got an aftermarket from ebay...
