I'd say keep the 2VZ, and only because I don't think the 3VZ or 1MZ are worthwhile swaps- it would be a lot of wiring work, and since they're physically bigger motors I question whether they will fit. The 2VZ is the known variable, and in your case you've got everything painted and pimped out on that motor- that's BIG time and $$ invested already- it's just a matter of refreshing the equipment.

Drop a 3S-GTE in there!!! Much much more potential with huge aftermarket support. Buy a JDM clip and then rebuild the 3S with forged pistons, rods and replace headstuds with ARP. Metal headgasket and the replace stock turbo with a CT20B. A MBC and up the FP then make some rediculous numbers.

No way!!! This poll is btw 2VZ, 3VZ and 1MZ...3SGTE is for another person to do..im sticking with the V6. Anyways..the 3S won't fit into my engine bay easily as I have the VZV21 chassis.

All these motors in the poll would have the E153 5 speed. I'm currently acquiring parts and going to swap out my auto for it on my 2VZ. Means i'm half way there to an engine swap!! as the gearbox bolts to VZ and MZ engines!
Thanks guys..keep the comments and suggestions coming!

but by the same token, if you're going to do all that work, then you may as well see if you can source up a 3mz....it'll be the same size, weight, etc. but more displacement and power...the ecu work and electrical will have to be changed regardless
and a car that size will fly with that much torque under it's hood

The 3VZ has more torque than the 1MZ right? 1MZ has more hp?
How does that compare to 3MZ??
We only have 3MZ in the Kluger (not sure what that is in the US, but it's a 4WD).
Interesting idea!!! Would be....fairly quick.
