O2 sensor problem

I have a 96 lexus es300 and i want to put a 3in. exhaust on it because i plan on turbocharging it later on and i have an O2 sensor after the CAT and the guys at the muffler shop wont even touch it because they say it will screw over my ECU and bring up the engine check light and all sorts of stuff. so any tips on how to get this problem fixed. thanks

Cool

Obviously you put a cat on your new exhaust and have them drill a hole & weld mounts for the o2 sensor...

That don't do it because it takes time to drill a hole, and weld an extra bung on there. There is also the remote chance that them putting a new "high flow" cat they just sold you doesn't remotely work, so the ECU isn't going to like that.

You're simply not offering enough money First call around to other shops, when you find someone that will do it, take their price back to the first shop and ask them what they'll do.
