2nd Generation Need help, Stereo in my 2nd Gen Camry stopped working

Hi everybody,

I have an '88 camry and the Stereo has stopped working. I could use a little help figuring out what the problem is. Don't know if it helps prove what's wrong, but the dome light seems to have gone out as well as the clock. I am thinking it's a fuse, but wanted some opinions since I have no idea what I'm doing. I tried another stereo that I know works, but it didn't work in the camry.

If it is a fuse, anybody know which fuse I need to deal with or where I can find that out? My bro lost the cover with the diagram to the fuse box.

Thanks for any help

you can just pull fuses till u find one that's blown. i think it's a 10 or 15 amp fuse. i'll try to get a pic tomorrow if no-one has done so

check in your manual if you have it. it shows diagrams as to which fuse to pull out. neways its real simple, just a matter of checking each fuse till you find which one is blown as atobe said. that is if thats the problem.

Check the fuses in the drivers side kick panel and the fuse box under the hood (on the side of the car behind the battery).

Drivers side kick panel:

Dome: 7.5A fuse.

Fuse box under the hood:

15A radio no. 1
