I never have any real use for the PWR button. I used it once when I didn't know what it was for and learned that it does make u burn gas if u drive around with ti on.
I do, but only rarely. SO little point in shifting way late on a near stock 3vz-fe.
fred line pressure stays the same, the only differance is that the shift solenoids are activated at different times

ohh yeah, alright i kinda thought that's what you were talking about, anyone ever notice that your gears change like 100% smoother, i hardley notice them changing at all when in ect mode, as apposed to when im not using ect.
anyone else notice this

I have, felka. I use ECT on the highway most all the time (if I'm driving for extended periods) with OD on. It helps keeps the shifts a little more smoothly and retain a tiny bit of tq.
i just dont like all the clutch slip when shifting in econo mode, i like a firm shift, not as much wear, hey Toysrme, is the trans in a v6 lx the same trans behind the 3s?
the 4speed was the A140 sieres
2.810 1.549 1.000 0.706
the 4-speed v6's had the A540's
2.810 1.549 1.000 0.734
a540's are a good bit stronger.
and the flex plates (flywheel on an A/T) is slightly different.
