well the first thing id have on my mind is forced induction. the v4 5sfe has a turbo kit ready for you and its a somewhat simple install. 2500 from the burien toyota auto group. look for their site for more info. you could also do some real damage if you had the 3sfe
i dont know where to find a supercharger for the gen3....but maybe someone else would know (btw-most of the guys here have said that the turbo is the way to go)
next i would upgrade you brakes before you go spinning your little camry with your turbo and wear and warp your rotors down in a hurry
then i would buy an exhaust of course to replace the stock
so the basics are covered now. now you expand on them. think about custom forged pistons (if you really want to go all out ask a good mechanic about boreing out your cylinders for bigger pistons....did that to my old blazer and afterwards the drivers seat felt like a vibrating chair at idle
, performance throttle body, performance fuel injectors, fuel pump, upgrade ECU of course, cold air intake, intercoolers, and really thats just the surface of it.
just upgrade anything you can. im sure these other guys got more to say than i do, but i hope i helped a little
