I'm wondering if blocking the EGR will make some effects on the engine after a while? And if there is no bad effect, can somebody show a pic of where and which hole we need to block. By the way i just made a hole on the bottom of my stock air box and it's sound great!
As i have learnt by doing it myself...if you are simply "blocking it off" then it won't do anything.
If the motor is rebuilt..and the EGR system/intake etc is all clean and new..then blocking it off does help..because it keeps everything clean. If you block it off now..everythings just as dirty..so it really doesnt make much difference.
You can always remove the entire EGR system..then u'll notice some gains..but that is, of course, illegal.

But who cares about legality? The last thing a cop is going to do is check your engine for the EGR. By all means, describe the process

Tis wat i did...i didnt notice ANY difference...because i didnt clean any of the intake/EGR....
To notice any difference...you have to clean it all before you block it.

the EGR valve isnt really required for the car to run (apart from obeying emissions laws...pfft, lol), which is why my new extractors wont have a place for it. I have no idea how to actually block it has a shop is putting the extractors on for me

Sounds good mate!! I can't wait to here your system!!..be careful tho..if you get EPA'd...they can test for emissions...although there not too strict here i don't think...

this has seriously been coverd to death ...... i have my block off plate at the tb made out of rain gutter .... as long as it seals up the holes and metal would work best since it handels heat better it will work .... and if it throws a cell there a temp sensor you need to bridge with a 4.7k resitor ....
