Been doing a suspension system overhaul for the last few months, about half way finished. I have KYB struts, KingSprings, Whiteline RSB. I want to replace all the suspension bushings, which leads to my first question:
The front control arms as far as I can remember, needs to replaced as an assembly if one of the bushings is gone (not sure if outer or inner one), so if I want to replace both bushings I need to replace the control assembly and also buy the other bushing, right?
Am I right in saying the FSB are the only other bushings needed on the front?
On the rear, it's the RSB (have whiteline bar w/poly bush), No1 & No2 suspension arm and the strut rod, I take it that these can be replaced without having to replace the assemblies?
My last question relates to my front hubs, the threads look like they are bent or out of line, is this normal or should I replace them?
Sorry for the long post, but I want to do all the work together so I don't have to do more than 1 alignment

hey there i wanna know where you got your whiteline rsb's? sorry cause i know this does not have to do anything with your post, wish could help, but havent' got that far yet.
Okay, well no point telling you where I got my Whitline RSB from cause I'm in Ireland and you're probably in America or Canada. All is not lost however, CT Motorsport sell them in America and Whiteline themselves sell them, but they're in Australia. There is another company in America that sells them, but I can't remember their name, I'll let you know if I can find them.
I am thinking that not many people on here actually change their bushings unless they cause a problem, because I've searched and there aint many posts, one of the reasons I decided to start a thread. There is a serious need for a gen2 suspension sticky, because there's a lot of posts on the subject, like what springs, struts, etc and how do you do this and that on the suspension. The same questions get asked a lot, yet a subject like the bushings s hardly ever brought up

i'm considering a bushin upgrade as mine are shot. from what i have read, you need to buy it as a kit. i'm still researching what to do but i do know whiteline have a kit, and superpro, and nolathane. (these are all the companies i found in aust tho)....
i would buy new bushings if they came in a package that replaces everything...i looked on whiteline's page for it it's so confusing and i gave up heheh

I heard that the Poly bushings make a lot of noise, is that true?
I know poly would last a lot longer, but the Toyota ones don't make noise
until they're absolutely worn out. Obviously the superpro bushings would
be a better performance upgrade but I'd be really annoyed if I put them
in and found them intrusive. Also, I heard poly doesn't flex like rubber,
so it could cause a harsher ride.
If anyone has poly bushes, could they let me know what they think?

Poly bushing will definitely give you a harsher ride --- but that's because you have a lot more road feedback. Its what you have to deal with in the performance trade-off.
If the bushings stay greased, they will be silent, just like rubber bushings. Poly upgrades for the front should be cheaper than a whole new control arm - something to think about.

Which bushing is unservicable on the control arm (outer/inner), because I was thinking Superpro make an inner bushing and a swaybar to control arm bush (is this the outer one?). If it's the inner one, couldn't you put in an inner poly bush and an outer OEM rubber bush.

Just get both. Both have to be pressed out. The poly bushings are 2-piece and you can re-install them yourself no problem.
