4th Generation Air Filter question

Sorry I am asking too many question but is it the more expensive one means better? (I am not talking about the mod one, just regular replacement) I went to Candian Tire and they sell it for 20 bucks, when I went to Lordco, [crap! forgot the exact value] but just 5-9 bucks more. Obviously different brand...

stock filters are mostly the same, unless it is K&N that can be re-used. so no more $$$ does not mean better. the K&N is more but its gains are proven. If it looks like the stock gause/paper filter go with the cheapest and inspect it for clenlyness at every oil change.

Some places can be real ripoffs for air filters. I just ended up going with a K&N for $40. I figured that paying $8 a filter wouldn't make sense.

from what I have been reading bout K&N filters and how they are over oiled and it will end up in the air intake manifold and eventually to your fuel injector. I guess there is some truth behind it as you can reuse the K&N time and time again after some cleaning.
i would personally go with the OEM toyota filter
