My 94 camry rmm front lip spoiler came in on Thursday. I went to at least 4 shops and no one knows how to install it. One of the shops actually specializes in body kits. I was wondering if anybody has directions or can tell me how to install it. I want to do it my self if it’s possible. Thanks in advance.
It should have come with an instruction sheet.
You have to cut the center of the lower lip on the factory bumper and cut out holes for the side vents to fit. A razor knife will work great, a jigsaw too, start small and make the holes bigger if you have to.
Use duramix, or some other semiflexible adhesive to stick it on.
The spoiler goes overtop of the existing bumper. The inlets on the front on each end are designed to fit into the stock vents too.
There isn't much to the instructions. If you need them call RMM, they have a pdf file they can fax. BUt all it shows is you cutting out a few areas of your bumper and then mounting it. If you need more detailed instructions, like my other post let me know. And as soon as I can find the pics I will let you see them of how to install. I had them before the move, hopefully I can find the disk again.
If I can see those pics that would be great. I called up RMM and they are going to fax me the instructions. Basically I just need to know where I need to cut, and what you used to keep the front lip on.
hey, jojo, in addition to the bit that I told you via PM, as said, I didn't do it myself, but what the shop used was really small rivets and also epoxy
and the best tip that I can give if you're REALLY set on doing it yourself, is to keep the bumper on the car when you cut it and install the lip. unless you're a body guy, you're going to have one hell of a time trying to put that lip on a bumper while it's flexing on you. I would jack up the car, cut, and then crawl under the car to rivet, etc.
I know even the original shop that I went to had trouble putting my lip on a new aftermarket bumper because it kept on flexing on them....
