3rd Generation Replacing intake, time to do some cleaning

I am replacing my stock CAI with a custom SRI (hopefully will become a CAI one day) and I would like to know what I could do in terms of cleaning/checking various valves/pipes/sensors when I replace the intake.

So far I read the forums and thought it would be a good idea to take a carb/throttlebody cleaner to the throttlebody and toothbrush all the dirt and grime out. Any tips?

Also, I've read that cleaning the PCV and IAC are highly recommended. I have a Haynes Repair Manual for my car and have located all these sensors, but how should I clean or check them?

Finally, how do I take out the MAF sensor from my existing intake and fit it on my SRI? From what I see, the MAF sensor is incased in a metal housing above my air filter box with a connector connected to it.

Thanks! I greatly appreciate all the help you guys are giving! I've read through quite a bit of posts and haven't found clear definitive answers/procedures to these problems.

Ok I was talking to toyrsme the other day, (unban him plz ) and he told me my car had an AFM! not a MAF! that means I'm stuck with an extension where that sensor is. My intake came today, and I measured just enough room to sqeeze in the AFM, but not a milimeter more. I might even have to relocate that slender fuse box, but that's not a problem.

I'll have pics of the install soon, so hopefully any newcomers will have some visuals on how intakes may fit on the old 3vz engine. (If I'm successful)
