Gen5 What to do for new intake?

I had an Cold air intake for the Celica GTS chopped up to fit my 2003 Camry SE 2.4L(Just needed the air senor opening.). Since I had the now short ram air intake W/cone filter on my SE, there has been no operating problems a side form the loud intake noise.... ...The engine seems to rev a little faster (5 - 10 %) and I did not notice any lost of power in the low rpm range. The question I have is........do I need to unhook the battery to reset my ECU? Or will the ECU just update itself?

My next project is to put in a custom cat back. I am not doing any internal engine mod, any advice or warning? What size of pipe should I use...2.25", 2.5"?

You don't need to reset the ecu for just an intake mod, it will learn by itself. As for the exhaust question 2.5 is good enough for the piping size. Good Luck.

2.25" for the 4 banger unless youre boosting then use 2.5" or 3" for big boost.

2.25" would be ideal if you're not going to do anything to the motor.
