hmm, Im from NY also but i in Brooklyn and i drive to school in Staten Island(College of Staten Island) like 5 times a week. I have the Gen 5 camry and i would say i get around the same mile as you but i go on highway, a round trip for me from home to school and school to home will run me about 20-22 Miles(sometimes a little more if i got local when the highway is all traffted up) and i fill ip my tank once every 2 week

Wow thats me to a T. Same thing, all city stop-n-go driving and get around 200 mpt and I definitly don't drive like a granny either. Do you have a v6 or i4? I have an i4. Usually just drive her to work and back which is like 6 miles round trip.
In under 3 years i've only put on 9K miles!

im from queens ny, 93 camry i4, and i get 190-200mpt.. i drive from my house to school(queens college) everyday and to work(bay terrace) 4 days a week... maybe im not alone in this boat.. i thought it was bad spark
i have a 2000 4 cyl camry by the way i thought it was just me everyone tells me how the camry is gas efficient and i barely get 200 mpt i thought there might be something wrong with the car
what are your driving habits? i know i drive really hard... so that probably adds to the poor mileage
whenever i see wide open space infront of me i floor it even if its only 2 blocks and i have to stop again at the red light how many miles u get per tank?
there, you go, you like to floor it and that burns lots of gas, i know when i hit around 70-80 on the highway i burn more gas. you should try to let the car pick up slowly and not race to red lights. not like im telling you to drive like a grandpa or something lol. Damn man gas went up today, 2.35 for 93

i pay 2.27 for 91 and its like $35 a tank and i heard gas prices r going even higher wtf
Milage is not that accurate for gauging how long or hard your engine has run. I always wondered why they didn't install a Hobbs metering type device on the engine. Its the time engine is running not milage that wears an engine down.
Comparing the two extremes of a guy doing 10 miles a day on the freeway @ 65 mph and the guy doing stop/go for same distance and you will have two very different engines at the end of 5 years. You are going to get very different mpt.
I get 240-260 mile until fill normal work week.
I get 300 - 340 weekend freeway driving.
Yup, I punch it once in a while to clear carbon buildup
i get 190-200mpt.. right around how much you get.. thats what we get for living in NY.. i dont even bother getting higher octane gas.. esp not at these prices and only 200mpt.. and im not AS bad as you, flooring it whenever you see open space lol.. but yea.. avg 40 on local roads..
i floored it the other night and it really accelerated!! i was like, whoaaa.. feels like a 6.. i wish i had that feeling more often :-(
i idle my car a lot too if i have to pick up somewhere i would just sit there leave the car on for 5 mins and wait for my friend i guess i should shut the engine off
