New member - question on fog lights

I've got a '99 LE V6 with the sport package w/fog lights. The lights in there now are virtually invisible - you can't even see them up against a wall when you turn them on. The original bulbs were better than that - these are replacements I bought at an auto parts store. I'm thinking of replacing my headlights with some Silverstars and want to replace these too to help me see in the rain a little better. Does anyone know what kind of bulb these fog lights take?

I checked the manual and it doesn't say. I found some place online that listed numbers for all the different years/models and the entry for fog lights on the '99 Camry was always empty. Probably because it was a dealer option. The fog light numbers for other models was always either H3 or 9006.

i'd say go w/H3 bulbs, my old driving lights and my new fogs both take/took H3s

first, u need to get the bulb out...(then u could take it to the store and compare or look really close at the lense on the fog light and it should say the bulb, just like the headlight lenses say "HB4" or whatever on them...)
