I think my doors automatically locked when my battery died. Or a kid did it and is skeered of tellin me. Is the car supposed to lock itself down when the battery dies? Any help would be appreciated.

Can't you just use the key to open the lock?

Maybe not. The only key that I got when I bought my car a few years ago only works on the ignition and trunk. It doesn't work in the doors.

Kinda scares me when my remote for my alarm sometimes doesn't work.

Are you sure?

The valet key only doesn't work on the glove box and the trunk.

I remember I used to always lock my keys up in my cam when working on it since it locks automatically when the doors are closed. Finally went and got me a spare key. But yeah why can't you just use the key?

Someone witha screwdriver probably stuck it into the doors to possibly open the car to per say "steal it" ?

Um yea... thats what happen to my cams driver door...

I look like an idiot opening the door from the passenger side

wait a min, if you leave the keys inside the car everytime you go inside your house how do you open the car when you want to go somewere?

yea the doors where locked by somebody becuase there not suppose to lock by them self even if the battery is dead

whats the point of having an alarm with no keyless entry system? in about 5 seconds, someone can open the door, pop open the hood and disconnect the battery, thus turning off your alarm...and then steal whatever they want or disconnect the alarm and steal your car.

If someone is going to steal your car, why are you worried about them coming in the house to find the key? Its not normal for someone to come into your house and politely ask for your car keys when they could hotwire it in 45 seconds.
