Hey!, just got back from Easter celebrations! Happy Easter to everyone!
Just a quick bit of info. This flywheel is off the MR2 3SGTE. The guy who had it was going to install a 1MZFE into the MR2, but turns out he went for the Beams 3SGE instead. He had the 1MZ and everything and test fitted this flywheel, and it fits perfect...not welding and redrilling to any V6 pattern required. And of course, if it fits on a 1MZ, one would think it fits on a VZ series V6 aswell. Obviuously havn't tried it all yet, but this is what he was saying, and he had the 1MZ to prove it.
Terrastrife, when you say you've got the V6 flywheel..are you saying you have bought one already?? The E153 isn't a flywheel....so are you saying that you want the 3VZ V6 one?? or the MR2 3SGTE one??
Thanks.

1994 Holden Apollo SLX - Auto 3VZ-FE - the car - now with less cardomain!
^ I got a v6 already i get paid this coming month for my new job so manual swap here i come!
after some consideration on performance... the manual swap would give good /price performance, while sticking with the sleeper theme
now... time to find someone to make up adapters for 3vz exhaust manifold to some form of turbine inlet :P~ im pretty sure you could get a small turbo to fit with the restricted space (enough room up front, not too sure about the rear bank) ... something small -- good for 200hp or so eheh
my job should be rollin in big money soon so... boyah!
tehres a magazine article for a gen 3 5sfte pushing 146fwkw, mid 13 qtr mile... claiming to be fastest cam in oz... must... beat.... guy.....
ill scan it in tomorrow.

I took it to PBR (clutch place) to get a clutche matched up to my flywheel. The guy did some calculations etc..and said yeah..ive got one..but this ain't gonna work on no V6....
It says the bolt pattern is fine..will bolt up to any V6 no probs...however..the diameter is too small. He said it will slip within days of installation. So..in other words..its the wrong one..
So to sum it up...the MR2 3SGTE flywheel will NOT work on a V6....bolt up yes....but work no....
So looks like im back to the drawing board for another flywheel...can anyone help me???

PBR is an Aussie clutch/brake manufacturer. They make "standard" aftermarket items for almost any car here in Aus. Much cheaper than Toyota!
According to this guy..itl just slip like crazy a few days after i install it.
Reckons it won't hold up to the power. I even mentioned it was off a 3SGT E, but he said the same thing..itll just slip.
I need more proof!! I don't wanna pop this thing in..and have it slip and have to remove the whole unit. Can anyone measure one??? See the difference. He reckons the V6 is much larger.
More info...
He says that the clutch kits are all the same..yes...but thats using a 9.5" clutch disc...
He says..even tho this is out of an MR2 3SGTE...the flywheel will only hold a 9" disc..and says because of this..itll slip.
Anyone verify this??

The clutch that you looked at, what engine or car is it for?
What about a clutch (disc & pressure plate) for a MR2 Turbo?
According to the screenshot mobes posted, MR2 Turbo (SW20), Celica All Trac/GT4 (ST185), and 3rd gen Camry (VCV10) all use the same clutch disc.
I'm not sure. They matched up a clutch to it..no probs..it was a 9" clutch. They said that if you use it on the V6..which uses a 9.5" clutch..then itll slip..because the 9.5" clutch won't fit on the flywheel (flywheel too small). The flywheel is from an MR2 Turbo..so theorectiaclly..a MR2 Turbo clutch kit would work..... ...surely my V6 can't be putting down more than that thing...
