Recently, or maybe its always been like this, my accelration is getting worse and worse. Only thing I have is a ram air intake. Now I searched came up with only one thing that I can see, its my throttle body, might be dirty. I plan on looking at it this weekend, but other than what could it be?
I'm not too familiar with 4 cylinder engine, but I think that is your BVSV. Definitely get that fixed. It is connected to the intake and probably allowing access air into your TB. Typically it's used to control emissions.
Its a bimetal somethign or other. Parts stores will have it listed as something else, just have them keep brining parts out. Mine was broken as well, will set u back about 60 bucks. It goes from either the tb or egr to the charcoal canister. It will help your acceleration, it did mine. Mine was broken, and the car was slow as a special olympics chess tournament.
and the bimental valve will mess up my accelration, correct? Car works fine without it, just dont need to lay down some cash for my original problem and not have it work, ya know?
mine is gone on my gen II v6, and i noticed no difference in performance. i have 6 hoses that are supposed to be connected to mine, and i havent got a single one connected.
its a Vacuum Switching Valve.

alright. ill junkyard it when I go for my new trunk latch.
So any ideas why my acceleration is lacking? I used to feel the car pull me, now all I here is the intake (loud...) but no power to show, might be all phycological, but I dont know.
