4th Generation Rim/Tire problem

Alright, i put my rims on today for the first time. its for a 97 camry XLE. At first everything seemed ok, but every once and a while i'll notice a small buzzing/humming/vibrating sound. It ususaly happens when i'm going between 15-40 km/hr. Doesnt always happen, but when it does it worries me. The tires are 215/45/17's. I'm not sure of the offset of the rims. Any hints as to what the problem is? or how to find out what the problem is? Should i not drive my car around till i figure this out?

Resonance?

Ever drive a car with aftermarket low profiles?

They tend to be a bit noisier. Road noise especially.

I would be thinking about the vibration sound though.

^ as he said, low profile tires are usually noisier....

and the vibrations are usually due to balancing....get them rebalanced....and while they're doing it, check for cracks in the rim

did you install Hub rings? I had to put them on when I put my rims on, there was a mind vibration.

about the sound check the tires in the back, see if you can stick your hand between the tire rubber and the rear strut, it may only be rubbing slightly but that will resonate.

SO let see the rims man...don't just tease us with problems...lol

I'll try to get some pics tonight or something. Hopefully this humming/vibration goes away soon. More then likely i'll get the tires rebalanced when i go for an alignment in a few weeks(dropping the camry in a few weeks ^_^).
