Alternator question

I have a simple question, How many amps does the stock V6 GEN4 alternator puts out? I need this info becasue I'm upgrading my power wire between my battery an alt and I need to place a fuse between them so my battery wont blow...

around 80 I think....


I still don't get the point when people do that, but if you do, you can use a 100amp fuse

Thank you guys, the reason I'm doing this is becasue it's called the "BIG 3" upgrade and it helps out your current flow in your electrical system in case you have multiple amps like me. Heres the link....

check it out it helps even if you don't have a sysetm, it helps out over all for your car especially poeple who exerience dimming....

no, I meant I don't get the point when people put a fuse in....


but yeah...the big three is a good idea, but it doesn't help with the dimming usually...that needs a new alternator

Your fuse rating is dependent on the size of the wire not the output of the alternator.
