IS300 wheels on a lowered coupe

Hey everybody, I have a 94 I4, I put 1.8 inch Dropzone springs on it, and I am runing 17x7 rims with a 38 offset, the tires are Ventus HRII 235's, I have the chance to pick up on some 17x7 lexus IS300 rims, and I want you guys opinion on if it will work or not. I have searched TN and found some threads talking about how they dont work on I4's. The guy that is selling them said that his rims off set is 50. Thanks for you help

I think that if you use spacers or something they will fit. Read the whole thread about the IS300 rims.

best bet is for you to take you jack and test fit the fronts and rear! Simple, you might look stooped to the dude selling, but i'd consider you a cautious buyer! (i always advise people to test fit wheels on my driveway, when i'm selling, no point ranting later....if it fits it fits...if it doesn't it doesn't....just bring 5mm spacers with you when you go.

with spacers it should fit....

the only reason why they don't fit is because the offset is too high for the i4 rear strut housing (or so it seems)

But all I will say is....why do you have 235 series tires on a rim that's 7" wide???
that's not safe...

This is a great idea, I taged along a while back when my bro was going to buy some rims for his s-10, good thing we tried them before buying, because they didnt work. I would do this but the IS300 rims have no tires, I would be flip floping the tires from my other set of 17x7's

I bought the rims and tires before I came acrross TN, back when I thought I was being original buy pimping out a so called family car, the camry. I guess you could say I didnt know any better when I purchased the tires, and neither did the tire shop. Anyway, why are 235's not safe on a width of 7"?

the general width of tire most use is 215 for 7" rims, with some also using 225

235 is pushing it, and if not mounted 100% properly, can roll off the rim during high speed cornering
