Ok, so one of the damn bulbs in my climate control went out. I figure if i will be replacing it, why not go custom, right?
So I have a few questions. I want to make the dash lights blue, and the guage cluster and shifter white. I read a thread on this (which left me with more questions then anything) and saw the website, http://superbrightleds.com/ .
I have a '96 XLE. How many bulbs are in the guages, and dash/climate control, and what are the exact bulbs #'s. I know the green in the climate control for part of it is just a stupid boot over the yellowish bulb, so that can just be a direct switch with an led bulb. But don't some of the things have a yellowish buln, but are green because there is a gree plastic piece in front of the controls? If that is the case, can it just be taken out so you will see clear plastic, which will allow the blue light from the LED to shine through?
Thanks for putting up with my stupid questions,
Adam

5 Lug Corolla WHAT?
There are 4 type 194 bulbs in the cluster for the Fuel, Speedo, Tach, and Temp gauges, but I'm not sure on the gear select lights on the cluster. I think the one on the gear select is a 194 also. There is one bulb (type 74) behind the climate control knobs (for temp and fan speed).
I was going to try the superbrightleds on my cluster too, but couldn't decide on whether to get the wide beam or singles.

the ones inside the climate control, the cigarette lighter ring, the key ring, and the ones inside the PDRN12 in the actual dash - dealer only pieces
hhhhuuuuuummmmmmm........the whole bottom strip of lights went out in my climate cotrol though.....so I know it is one of the bigger bulbs and not the small one.......Oh, the PDRN12, and warning lights I was going to leave original anyway.
Thanks for the help guys

the small bulbs in the climate control are toyota only lights...doing LEDS in there looks like poo, you'll have 1 section uber bright and another real dark. Paint them if you want, but you need to go to toyota for the bulbs, oh and the 194 bulbs are in the instrument cluster, those will work with your LED'S.
