Hey guys, couple quick questions. I should be getting my exhaust installed soon when my muffler arrives in a couple days... a magnaflow oval body for my 5sFE. Anyway, I wanted to ask how much I should expect to pay to have my system installed?... this will include installing headers and a new gasket, running new 2.25 in pipe, installing my high flow cat and muffler. Just wondered what a ballpark price is so i dont get ripped off...
also, for a resonator... can I reuse my factory one? or should I buy a new one? I want it to be louder than stock but not so loud that it drones on the freeway or gets me too much attention from the police. How much will the price fluctuate if I need/ dont need a resonator?
any input is apreciated, thanx. should have my suspension on here soon too.
Im guessing with all that, it should cost between $120 - $180. My cost for 2.25 piping and a muffler was $80, so that's just my guestimate. I had the stock resonator deleted, and it didnt make that much difference from when i had it on with my magnaflow muffler. Resonator doesnt cancel out much noise since it uses absorption to muffle the sound.
Good luck with the install, and be sure to provide pic updates.
Yeah, that's true. Go to a "tuner friendly" shop. There are a lot of asshole exhaust shop owners that will give Import enthusiasts (especially camry owners) shit. But my guess is around $300 for everything.

thanks for the replies, I didnt think of them giving me shit... sometimes i forget that I have a camry haha.
most of the shops around my area (ann arbor/detroit area) are your typical grease monkey domestic hillbilly shops, it may be tough to find a tuner friendly place but Im going to look into it.
why wont shops touch my car if it has headers on it?

Because it's removing a cat, which is against the law. Stupid laws...

oh alright... that makes sense then, good thing we dont have inspections like some of you guys do here in michigan.
I made a list of the "preffered installers" on magnaflow's website, Ill start by calling them and getting quotes/ see if they can even do it this week
Cool! Good Luck and post pics when you're done!

Good luck with it. A good shop is hard to find. I'm sure you'd do the work yourself but something like this, you really need a lift and that isn't practical go go out and buy
How much do you guys think getting 2.25" custom piping, magnaflow cat installation, 2 apexi 2.25 universal NA N1 mufflers installation would cost??? Still $200 ish?
