Ok so i was putting on my carbon fiber hood today, bolted it all up. And tried to close when it was hitting these hooks i have in the car.
Ok so i looked on the original hood and there are holes there these hooks fit. So basicaly the hood won't close, does anyone else have this problem? Do the gen 3 not have the hooks cause my 96 Does. Anywho, I decided to fix this problem by breaking out my dremel and cutting those holes into the hood.
Just thought i'd share this. Sticky it or not but that's what is going to have to be done to get it to fit right. Enjoy.

i ahven't put washer nozels in yet but i'm gonna put in hood pins also since it jsut seems kinda flimsy with just the hook. And my latch seems to be fine except that i don't get the 2ndary lock. So if i pull the latch to open the hood, i don't have the 2nd one to keep it there.

I used a dremmel with a "grouting" bit i gues that's the best way to describe it. That and a steady hand. It actualy cut very easily and just used some compressed air to blow all the dust out. It is recomended to use a dust mask and gogles when doing this as you are going to be spreading lots of fiber particles around.

I had to adjust the bumpers on mine too Mike, and I finally got it to the point where is was within a .32" of fitting like the OEM, pins will be done at some point, but first it needs to see the mech...damn vavale cover gasket.
