is it only when its been in the sun? my wheel makes a strange noise when it has been in the sun, seems it is the rubber surrounding becoming soft from the heat. First time I heard it it freaked me out, I though it was kids screaming!

or your power steering belt. Change it and make sure its tight. That solved my problem. Actually, my belt didnt need changing because it looked pretty good but I changed it anyway. Havn't heard a peep from it since.

you can also buy belt dressings and spray your belt. a dry belt will make noise but if you put the belt dressing on, it'll make the belt sticky again and it will stop squeeling.
$5 to cure the problem.
