(i have just replaiced the air filter with a K&N) and i think that camry`s are pretty fast... I know that Maximas are quicker because of the twin cam but anyway if anybody knows pleas tell us.... "I know that Maximas are quicker because of the twin cam"

I think the Camry V6 also has twin cams since its DOHC, but someone else can make sure.

0-60 wise, its between 7.6 and 8.0 seconds

When I first got my camry, XLE V6 3.0L, my 0-60 was 6 seconds flat.

Now it is still about 6 seconds. It was about 7 just because I have put almost 100,000 miles on it, but since I put my intake on and the heat shield, im back to about low 6's.

maybe if you were using a wristwatch?

the v6 0-60 time is about 8sec with an auto, and about 7.5 with a 5spd and a good driver.
and the camrys have actually gotten slower as the gens have changed since the bodies got bigger and heavier....until the current v6 with the 3mz

Between 7-8 seconds on a stock v6 sounds about right.

nope. shiftin through gears 6-6.3 secs when i first got the car. its a bit tired now but still close.

my friend mike has a camaro and i let him drive it the 2nd or 3rd day i got my camry. he got it up to 135. I had to beat him wit 140 the next day since i twas my car of course. He didn't believe me either 0-60 in about 6 secs. but he timed it himself. Of course, that is with traction control off so it doesn't engage and slow my start, and on a good road surface so i don't burn out. My car burns out like a friggin champ!

*shrugs* maybe my camry is special if nobody else can get that time. But i ain't got no reason to lie about somethin stupid like that.

my friends got a I4 turbo charged WRX. All stock accept exhaust. he pushes 5.0 secs 0-60. sometimes 4.8 when he gets a good jump. AWD is great

stop watch doesn't lie

Buddy I don't think so. I think we'd need to to see some official quarter mile 0-60 times or something. A good strong stock camry will not break 6 seconds I don't care if John Force is launching your car. What kind of stop watch you using???? Timex????

0-60 in 6 secs with a 97 Camry XLE. No way on earth. Stop watches are never accurate for timing a car. Go to a dragstrip and post timeslip and that is accurate.

What a dumb ass, your camry never did 0-60 in 6 sec, are you that ignorant or do you think we are that stupid?

Nissan Altima is the fastest ( was 2 years ago anyway) FWD sedan with 0-60 in 5.9 sec, with 5 speed, auto is 6.7s. That is with 255 hp and 245 ft/lbs and in a lighter car.
