I have a 93 camry with 123 000 km on it. The car has been well maintained. The other night the oil warning light flashed on and off three times. I was going about 40 kph. I checked the oil level it is fine.
THat was 5 days ago and I've not seen anything since.
First check the electrical connection to the oil pressure sending unit. If this is a 4 cylinder 5SFE engine, it is on the right side of the engine block just below the cam cover and it's gasket, if you are standing in front of the car. If the connection is ok, then have someone (usually a shop) unscrew the oil pressure sending unit and temporarily replace it with a real mechanical oil pressure gage. Then they can take actual oil pressure readings. This will indicate if there is a problem with the sending unit or an actual oil pressure problem (weak oil pump or bad engine bearings). With the mileage on your car, unless it has been abused, it is probably just the wiring or the sending unit.
Turned on today - loud, fast clicking sound - switched off very fast.
Friend told me that Toyotas are prone to having a nozzle in the oil pump blocking which a hot oil flush can cure cheaply.......
