How to get rid of those "fugglie water" spots...

I couple of weeks ago I posted that I had "fugglie water spots" on my windows. There wasn't any type of window clean/stripper in the world that worked. A few people said they had the same problem(lankanprince?). Well I have a solution that works. Razor blades and nail polish remover with acetone. First, put A LITTLE BIT of nail polish remover on a rag and rub into the spots. This losens them up a bit. Then GENTLY use the razor blade scrap the remaining spots off. Works like a charm. Be sure to let the nail polish remover dry before you scrap, or you risk slipping (Duh). Make sure the nail polosh remover has acetone. Its also great to get rid of the yellow stuff on your headlights. Ask someone who's 21 to buy the razors for you. Home Depot wouldnt sell me them (i'm 19). Anyway, I hope this help someone, I found a solution and I figured I'd share. Peace and Enjoy.

For those of you like me, who aren't allowed to be near any sharp objects, Mother's Chrome Polish is good to get rid of those mineral deposits/water spots.

Initially I tried Lime Away. No luck. Then I tried Vinegar. No luck, but it worked well on the inside of my washing machine. Then I tried CLR. No luck. Then I read on the internet that Easy Off (oven cleaner) works. No luck. I tried using razor blades with most of these products without success. Then I tried chrome polish. I noticed it took some of it off, but not without some heavy duty elbow grease. I thought my arms were gonna fall off. But alas, it was working. So instead of buying a polisher for $20 at WalMart, I bought a drill attachment polisher and boy, did that save me alot of work.

Good luck!

I wouldn't try cleaning my Gen5 headlights since they're plastic. I would be worried that the nail polish would melt or distort the clear finish. If the headlight is glass no worries but plastic???

^ Nail polish remover contains acetone.

Acetone will eat plastic.
