When I dropped mine in, I had just bought the car. Very slight response, milage difference. Oh so slight noise, not worth mentioning. Still going good at 10k of miles.
$41 shipped is a good price.
at first its WOW so much faster!!! (more air in teh engine to mix with the over rich stock mix) until teh ecu works itself out over the next day or two then its BOO HOO my powers gone.... no sound difference... and a very slight mileage improvement.

the sounds isnt that impressive, but I think it may be because its from a v6. I don't necessarily have a KN air filter, but all air filters are the same. I have an injen airfilter connected to a pipe, and it sounds deeper at 4,000rpm. Not very noticable at all. My friends civic ex has the same intake and it sounds deep at 2,000rpm and sounds mean at 4,000rpm.
As for improvement? I do notice a very minimal improvement in throttle response, but my gas mileage is down by a like 3-4. I think its my driving habits, but my gas seems to deplete alot faster now. I think its messed up my ECU. Or it might just be my driving habits.

but a filter (power-wise) doesn't get any better than a k&n drop in, so if your original filter was REALLY dirty, you might feel a difference (on the dyno, k&n filter = no filter)
it's more of a long term investment since you won't have to keep on buying paper filters

I just put a K&N drop-in into my 4 cyl gen 5... but when I dropped it in, the box didn't close as firmly as with the stock air filter, and there was a small crack along the split through which you could see the shiny black rubber parts of the filter... i had a friend press on the gas and i felt for air leakage, but i couldn't feel anything... is anyone else's like that?

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.
I got one. it's currently in my "parts taken off the Lexus, waiting to be thrown away" pile. They're all a waste of money. No performance differance at all; you'd ahve to have a serious turbo / supercharged vehicle, or a nearly 100% clogged filter to note any differance.

I've never had a K&N in my camry, but by dad has used them before, says they really help out as far as gas mileage goes. Not much of a difference in power, though. I just put a short ram intake on my camry. I'd be willing to bet that the $30 I paid with shipping for the intake is a better value than a $40 stock filter. Still, it was kind of a pain, since I had to fashion my own bracket, and the screws for the MAF (I think that's what it is) didn't quite fit into the pipe.
