So a couple months ago, I'm pulling into a drive-through, not really paying attention, and smash into a big black pole at 10 mph. I get out of the car, look at where I hit the pole, and there's no dent, not even a scratch, just a black mark that I got buffed out. Then, today, I'm backing out, but I can't see behind me all that well, because there is REALLY bad glare. I hear a loud "crunch", and realize that I hit a Ford F-150 work truck that was also backing out, both of us going about 15 mph. I get out of my car, and look at the back of it; there isn't a dent. There isn't even a scratch. Just a barely noticeable scuff mark where I hit him. He's also only got a tiny little scratch that is hardly noticeable among all the other construction site battle scars. We look at each other's cars, agree that there is no significant damage, and go on our ways. It is really true what they say, full-size Toyota sedans are indestructible! I've seen entire rear bumpers crushed from a 15-on-15 crash, yet the Camry didn't even dent. I love this car so much right now
man you need to learn how to look behind you better. if you did that in mine you would have majore damage. i dont have bummper suports and a F/G kit. but i nkow how to drive with it. a few weeks a go i was rearended at about 30 mph but i saw it coming. right befor he hit me i gunned it so he hit me at about 3 mph. but if it dint look out i would have to replace all my rear Scpeter lights and most of my trunk.
always look out. even if you got a beater
Haha, I'm just kidding about the indestructible part, but my point is that I was surprised by how tough they are. And yeah, I was being very careless when I backed up, mostly because I was dead tired, dying of thirst, and blasting music. What I should have done, because of the glare, was just rolled down the window and looked out of it that way. Oh well, the car is just fine (somehow).
I got hit by one of those little trucks at home depot, that move around the heavy stuff. the guy was in the parking lot moving huge amounts of ply wood around, he hit my car, and the car spun literally a few degrees. nothing happened. unbelievable. He said he didn't see.
Ok. I beg to differ. I've had two of them totalled. Maybe very small impacts or a certain angle but other than that mine were done. Both by two small American cars. A prism and a cavalier.
Haha, dude! My old car was rear ended 5 times! Still has the original bumper on it!!!! Messed up one of the cars front that hit it pretty damn bad too!
