Gen5 Headunit and Climate Control Colours

I was just wondering, on the Gen5, is it actually possible to change the colour of the Climate Control and Headunit?
because right now it is an ugly green colour, and i want to change it to white.
I was able to change the bulb in the shifter to white with not much problem
so with the Climate Control and Headunit, are they just bulbs lighting them up? or is it more complicated than that?

thanks.

but there is a thread on this forum about the modification of the gauges etc on the gen 5

im not actually looking to modify the gauges on my Gen5.5, but rather the illumination of the Headunit and Climate Control consoles

but on an unrelated topic , we in Aus, dont get the Optitron Gauges in the Gen5.5s unfortunately....we still have the same ones as the Gen5s, just a different colour

Yes, they are just LED bulbs, but they are really small LED's that are soldered on. See http://www.sounddomain.com/memberpage/216257/6 for some ideas.

That's a lot of work. I don't want to do that to change my lights.

where there's a will, there's a way, terry. :p

I'm sure you could either filter, change or modify an LED to fit in (or perhaps use small 5mm LED's)

if you can get a picture of the insides, I could probably help more. I don't really have a solid computer to use at the moment as I'm just finishing moving right now. I'll try to keep an eye on the thread for you though. I still need to post a picture of my modified clock with my entire lighting scheme.
