i currently have a 92 v6 with auto tranny,

which other toyota engine would fit?

something that has a bit more guts, like from a celica, or the other 3z that was in the older trucks (with ported/shaved heads)

what would fit my tranny patern? or i could just put in the auto tranny from the celica too? how tough would that be? it would have taller gears?

my engine and tranny are dying, i'll probalby need a tranny overhaul in the next year anyways

any help is appreciated

well, the simple truth is almost anything can be put into the engine bay, even the 2jz-gte...but there is always two things to remember: MONEY AND EXPERTISE...

ok, but what car with that size engine, i'm gonna look for scrapped cars

do you mean like 3.0 liter engines? if so the 2JZ-GE/2JZ-GTE are both three liters, but if you want something cooler, i say swap the highlander engine into the Camry, it has more horsepower than the newer V6...

putting that tranny in there too would be a pain in the @$$ with the chopped off 4wd, no way, i'm thinking more of like celica

One feasible swap would be that of the 3sgte from MR2 turbo and celica all-trac turbo, i believe.
