5th Gen Camry Speaker ?

Hello,

I would like to clarify if the Camry speaker size is 6x9. Also, I remember someone mentioning that a spacer/adapter could be used in order to use 6.5" speakers.

My question is: Is there a benefit of having one over the other?

Yes, the front door and rear speakers are 6x9. I think most people would agree that 6.5's sound better since they are round - the oval shape of 6x9's makes it hard to accurately reproduce sound. On the other hand, because 6x9's are bigger, they're capable of producing louder and lower (bass) sounds. The tweeters in the dash are actually 6.5cm, or 2.5in. You'll also have to make some thin (less than 1/4" thick) adapters if you want to replace those since the adapters seem to be part of the bracket. I was a little lazy and made mine out of cardboard.
