GCs or CF hood?

I ordered an Alpine in dash flipout the other day with a Blaupunkt DVD player for my glovebox. Setup set me back around $700. When I got the unit in, I found out the Alpine was a "dead head". You have to have an amp for your highs and mids to have any sound! Well I sent it back today and when my money clears back from Crutchfield I'm going to get one of these two mods.

ViS cf hood (oem style)
Ground Control coilovers

Which one would you get?

BTW, I'm already dropped on Tein S.Techs but I want more drop.

GCs are around $400
cf hood is around $500

On GC's the spring has fallen off the perch which causes you to lose control and crash. They make a lot of noise to.

although he's had them for over a year and they haven't failed him yet.

I was looking into them last summer and my local performance shop said they didnt want the responsibility of doing it cause some kid had his spring come off the perch. It made the vehicle lose control and go off the road apparently. That was all I needed to hear, I went with Teins and Tokicos.

Save for coilovers?

I'd say get something that does something over a cf hood. But aren't headers also around 400-500 bucks?

But some may argue that CF does do something. It'll shave off that .01 second.

stock 5sfe... not doing headers or anything like that for that matter.

If anything is done to the engine it'll be a V6 swap when the car is paid off.

^^^Good Idea but good luck....There was another guy on the board that was doing the V6 swap and ran into mega problems tring to get it to work, he was out of a car for quite some time. But if you can do it, go for it, that would be the shizle.
