(97' Camry XLE) I am wondering how long does a stock suspension last? When I was driving on the bumpy roads, I can hear a loud sound on the suspension. Is it normal? Thanks!!
How many miles on the car? How long has it been since you changed anything on the suspension? A quick way to see if your struts are bad is to push down and up a couple of times on each corner of the car. Do it one corner at a time. If the car keeps bouncing after you stop bouncing it then you need new struts. If you hear the noise check the suspension on that corner. I have squeeking from my driver's side front spring ,but all I need for that is some tubing for the spring. Find out where, exactly, the noise is coming from. You might ask a friend to help you pin point it, while you are bouncing each corner. Just a thought. Someone else on here might be more helpful.
Please check your sway bar bushing first if the noise is coming from back on the bumpy road.
Strut mounts are not cheap (at least $50 each). Camry is famous for bad strut mounts. But it is also famous for bad sway bar bushing too. However, the sway bar bushing is more likely to fail and lot cheaper. Just my two cents...

Thanks for all the comments! Currently my milage is around 68600km. I pushed down all for side and they didn't bounce so I don't think I need a new suspension. When I drive onto the bumpy road, "broum brum" sound occur (the best sound I can simulated). Anyway, is there any easy step that I can do? Thanks!

First lift your. Both rear wheels should be off the ground. And try to push the sway bar to the left and right. If you can move the sway bar to the side, you need to replace the bushing. To replace, you only need to unbolt the retainer.
