I was wondering if I would be able to swap my automatic gauge cluster with one from a manual tranny without any mods? Is it just as simple as unplug the old and plug the new?
the only thing i can think of is that the dealer with have to write "This car's odometer was changed at xxx,xxx miles" on the car's title which may make ppl skeptical if u ever decide to sell it...but other than that, as long as it's from the same gen i don't think so...
u might wanna go ask the dealer as a hypothetical "what if" question and see if they know anything...

Here in Belize I wouldn't have to go to the dealer and have them give me that sticker. Popos here in Belize could care less. I'm only doing it to mess with people's minds. People here in Belize are soo silly. They always think my car is a manual because of my shift booth and shifter. I wan them to be like WTF how come your not changing gears. Should be a nice laugh
It's the same. You just won't plug in the plug that goes to the gear selector indicator. Also, when I replaced mine, I changed the odometer to match the original miles. If you look hard enough you will should be able to figure that out.
they are the same, minus the indicator lights.....I used an automatic one on mine, to keep the miles down, and slapped the original back in before inspection...this was before I did the indiglos and the car was less than 10 years old.
