The most stolen Camry's are the 1991, 1989, and the 1990. The other years aren't even in the top 10.

well, i live in a small city/town, so i don't have to worry that much about it getting stolen, but i have done a couple things. Pretty much its an alarm with paging system, pain generators, and starter kill

Pain generators, if I remember correctly, output a very painful frequency to the human ear at a very high sound pressure level (dB) rating. Not a pleasant experience being in a car with those blaring.

Go TIGERS! Hey CJ,
You a student a Clemson by any chance? I'm a senior and have not gotten into the car scene there yet. Let me know.

As for the thread...My cam's got the stock/factory security system on it. It looks pretty weak to me, just a small alarm if the doors are opened with out a key. Anyone have any thoughts on how secure this actually is? Also it has two bottons on the keychain, one to lock/unlock, and the other to supposedly pop the trunk, but it's not hooked up. Was this a factory option that I don't have, or has something broken?

Somebody attempted to take my car or the stuff inside, when I was in philly at a huge mall. Somebody tried to get in through the passenger side window, tried to break it from the side, but it wouldn't break, cuz the tint was honlding it, and i think the alarm went on and they ran away. damn jackasses :x

i have starter kill with paging system, but i lost my pager so that sucked!!

how much are those pain generators anyway? curious!
Xenon: u got them in your store?? how much lol

yeah, check this out!

Check this out:

I had a 1984 5-door camry. When I got it the original owner said that when it was new, it was the most stollen car in Boston. So they had this wierd Z-Lock security system put in. When it was on, the hood was locked and the ignition disabled, but it had no alarm.

Case in point:

One night I cruise down to local club and have a few drinks.
When it's time to leave, I walk out to my car, unlock the door, and start it up. But something is wrong, it's running way too rough.
The window is in the door (mine had off-track problem but was up when I went in). I'm thinking shit, maybe someone broke in. I look around and see that the car is full of all this junk and the stereo is now stock again??..... Did I finially smoke one to many?
NO! WAIT!!! IT WASN'T MY CAR!! LOL

I had accidentaly gotten in someone else's rust-red 1984 Toyota Camry Hatch-Back parked accross the street from mine. The damm keys on those things work on all of them, that's why they were stollen so much, get one key, and you could open any of them!! How stupid is Toyota for doing that?

I was so relived when I got in my car and started it. (mine was in better shape, cleaner, ran better, nicer stereo) I was like damm, I thought my car was shitty, but now I know how shitty it could be! Whew!
