getting rid of moisture that is developing in my new headlights?

I have moisture developing on the glass inside my new headlights. How can I get rid of that moisture?

I was thinking about putting the headlight in the oven for a bit, to evaporate the moisture.

Any suggestions? I need to take care of this before it starts rusing the headlight.

Yeah, but I can't smear the water on the glass because it will leave streaks...

I'd say try putting some dessicant packets in them, but I don't know where to get it except at my work and in stuff you buy. Ya know the silica gel packets that say "DO NOT EAT" on them? Either that or a hair dryer.

what type of car do you have . if the headlights are clear then it would leave streaks but if its not then you dont have to worry about that. you can put them in the oven to open them and clean them really good

That's what they're for. They put them in electronics to keep them dry.

ur head lights must be leaking... are both headlights showing moisture in them??? if so u may need new lights. silica packets may be a temporary solution but if you dont wanna have the same problem every few months then fix it right.

Please note this is just one of the headlights. It's odd, the moisture seems to go away when it get's warmer...

youve got moisture in there, when its cold, the moisture condenses and causes water droplets on the glass, when it warms up, the moisture turns to gas, causing it to go away.

take the headlight out, when its nice and dry outside, open it up, wipe it down, reseal it and reinstall. you should be good to go then.

Take off your headlights and heat it up with a hair dryer.

On a warm, sunny day, remove the bulb, leave the hood opened, and let it sit for a few hours, by which time, all the moisture should have evaporated out. Then replace the bulb. If it shows up again, you do have a leak. This method worked for me.

heat 'em up, then spray around the outside with silicon sealant. Make sure to mask off whatever you don't want to get sealed though (otherwise you'll have some funny lookin' headlights).
