4th Generation Piaa 1400 or 1700x foglamps

Anyone that has experience with this foglamp please post. I need to replace my hella micro DE. It was crap. Realized how cheap the internals were and one burned out, not the bulb but the housing itself. So im wondering if the PIAAs are bright and etc.

PIAA are the top shit. They're used by rally cars and off-road racers everywhere. A little pricey on some of their stuff, but worth it

I has PIAA 1400s on my old Camry... VERY bright, not very good at light control (not a very good horizontal cutoff). They are also very compact and good looking.

I was actually thinking of getting the Hella Micro DEs for me new Camry... hmmm...

How is the beam pattern on them? How bright are they?

umm dont get the Hellas. They are very low quality. One burned out after a year because the rubber boot came off for some reason and it corroded the inside. And the mechanism that holds the bulbs are very cheap. I was changing the bulbs and I almost broke it. It bends like butter. Thats the reason why I am looking to get new foglights. Btw is it hard to change bulbs in the PIAA?

Even though the PIAAs use H3 bulbs (like most fog lights), they sell a replacement that includes everythign but the housing (glass, bulb, bulb holder). You just unbolt the front of the housing and pop the new part in. Its very easy - the only problem is that its expensive! I burned out one bulb in the 2-ish years they were on the car, but that was about 20k miles of being on all the time the car was on...

Looks like I'm going w/ the PIAAs again.
