4th Generation Flowmaster + Camry = VROOM! (56k beware)

I love my cat back and flowmaster 50 series muffler. sounds REALLY nice. especially with the baffled tip. mmmmmmm. Here's some pics. Movies w/ sound will follow soon.

the shop did a mighty sexy job making the J-hangers and stuff look just like the factory hangers. And the welding is A+. love my mechanic/shop

Is it just me or does the tip stick out too far?

total cost w/ labor was $385. But that is just cause my entire family goes to the same guy. bring him mad business. Otherwise the whole cat back woulda been over 600

I had him put the tip out that far cause i didnt want it to blacken/melt the bumper. The flowmasters actually reduce the heat inside the engine compartment, but the muffler and tip get REALLY hot. especially on a 50 series like mine. In person I think it looks good. those pics make it look like it sticks out really far, but it is only a few inches.

thanks for the comments. I'll try to post a movie tomorrow

CX889, believe me ill rev it high for you guys. redline that shit!

even 385 is a rip off, you shouldve went somewhere else.. teh welds aren5t THAT great either.

...the materials alone cost around 385! the flowmaster muffler is $160 alone. just the labor for installing the muffler is around $100. 385 a rip off? i dont think so. a full cat back, replacing the cat, the piping, the muffler, buying a tip like that, and installing is well within the realm of $600.

Just for comparison:

Bosal cat back system: $435
Greddy Evo2 cat back: $519

So 385 installed for a custom cat back is good. don't know where you get ur numbers...

ill post some vids tomorrow
