and yah.. i got a light in the glove box.. if you dont.. check your fuses it may just be blown

The light in the glove box doesn't come on unless the headlights are on. Don't ask me how I know.

my globe shit itself pretty quick, found connection loose...
replaced with LED...

I think Toyota engineers assumed that if the headlights aren't needed, there should be enough ambient light in the car's interior to see inside the glovebox. Conversely, if the headlights are on then you probably need a light to see inside the glovebox.
