and yah.. i got a light in the glove box.. if you dont.. check your fuses it may just be blown

I think Toyota engineers assumed that if the headlights aren't needed, there should be enough ambient light in the car's interior to see inside the glovebox. Conversely, if the headlights are on then you probably need a light to see inside the glovebox.
