Spacer or no spacer?

Hi,

I would like to know what in what range of offset does a Gen 3 Camry do not need a spacer, nor will it conflict with any suspension components...
I know the FAQ is stated at 38mm, but i have heard other TN members is saying at 45mm?

Thank you.

First, why do you need a spacer?

Second, do you have aftermarket wheels/tires?

I have a 2005 Camry LE 4 CYL that I would like to install 17"X7" Toyota OEM Alloys on.
Is this a possible upgrade?
If it will work, I'd like to mount with 215/50/17 Bridgestone Potenza 009's.
Need your advice.
Thanks

I've never had to run spacers on any wheel I've ran on any cars. As long as you're not running a crazy offset you should be fine without spacers.

I'm running 45 offset on a gen 4 without spacers and without problems

^^ you must be v6, he was asking for i4, as much as we all can debate...there are certain wheels (5th gen and is300 rims) that fit v6's w.o spacers and for god know why..need spacers in the i4's! (i've tried and tested this myself)

The daimeter of the wheels has NOTHING to do with needing the spacer. It's offset and width.

according to the Camry FAQ, the OEM wheels are 38mm offset?
so running between 38mm and 48mm should be good?

but what size of tires?
