Dude that's mad ripoff right there.

You can get one rebuild to around 140-160 amps for much cheaper price...

Don't get me wrong, a rewound alternator will put out the same amount of AMPS, but usually when they rewind they don't replace all of the internal parts. I have a new 160AMP alternator that I bought from the company that used to make the Stinger alternators for $350.00. It was a deal cause I knew the people, I picked it up, and I paid cash... It's built from the ground up to provide 160AMPS, so I don't have to worry about some half-assed rewound alternator.

I almost forgot... Mine was not an "exact" fit. My mechanic had to make a custom bracket for it and change the original belt size to make it work. He also had to beat down my heat shield a little on my Bosal header, so the alternator would fit. I haven't even really used it yet, as I haven't had my stereo put back in, but I'm sure that between the high output alternator and the two 1 farad capacitors I have I'll be just fine. The guys I bought it from also mentioned that just like watts in car stereo amps sometimes people list the maximum AMPS that the alternator will put out, not the RMS. I hope that makes sense.
