wheels rub

i bought some 17 rims and they are sitting one 225 size wide tires. im having a problem when i drive on freeways around 80mph. when i hit slight dip on freeway, my tires are ending up rubbing on the rear fender . i think its duie to them being too wide. i think that tighter strings would help. can someone suggest something?

"tighter strings" ???

you could just roll your rear fender.

whats the tire profile (225/xx/17), rim width and offset? are you lowered? you're in a gen5 so you either gotta have a really fucking big tire or the wrong offset.

if your off set tis too low the wheel will stick out, if its too high it will rub the strut.

btw, offset is the same as backspacing

^ HAHAH You don't have an AE86, by chance do you?

I doubt they're 0 offset. Probably +35 just that your tires have a really fat sidewall.
