New wheels?

I'm contemplating getting some new wheels. I was thinking about upgrading to 18" rims but I not too sure..I kinda like my cp-035s and not sure if 18s even forged ones, can handle all the crappy ass roads of NY. This is the wheel that im going to get if I'm getting rid of the racing harts

and these are my current wheels

Another option I've been considering is having my wheels powdercoated black can someone chop that for me? So what do you guys think?

I think that black or gunmetal colored rims with a sliver lip would look the best on your shade of blue, and they would go with the hood too.

Gunmetal with polished lip would be hot with that color blue.

are your current rims 17''s? there isnt a whole lot of difference between the look of the rims youve got now, and the new ones you want, as they are both being dual 5 spoke designs. I think you would be better off going with the powder coating, or a different style of rim.

And would tires with a bigger sidewall help protect the rim from pot holes and stuff? if so then I think it would be best to get some fatty tires and just deal with the speedo difference

lets jsut say NY roads and potholes are scary. Every time I drive over one on the highway my heart skips. I have 16 inch Enkeis with 60 profile tires and I can feel the impact. Just be warned those rims better be superstrong with low profile tires.
