Fair price for painting bumpers?

I'm thinking of buying a new front bumper, but it'll need to be repainted because it's a different color. How much should I expect a paint shop to charge? Is it easy to do it myself? If so, where would I be able to get the right paint?

what's color of your car??? Silver or sarg pearl???? It just depend on your car's color. Black is cheap, but i don't think yours should cost more than 250.

Yeah, it's silver. I might hold out for a bumper that's the same color or try learning how to do it myself it's going to be like 250, though.

^ you can't do it yourself unless you have the right equipment....and the ability to bake it properly.....

with something as big as a bumper, I wouldn't do it with those spray cans.....

and for average costs, you will have to look locally....in certain places where there is lots of competition, paint can be cheap, and in some places, it can be expensive as hell....tho your best bet is if you have hook-ups tho

worste come to worste and you're not anal about your paint, go to maaco

Thanks. Forgot about needing to bake it. Definitely won't be able to do that, and unfortunately, I don't have any hook-ups. What's up with MACCO? Do they do bad paint jobs, or are they expensive?

A bumper cover has to have a "flex agent" added to the paint. This is the type of job that is best left to a pro. They have the right equipment along with the right paint. If that's not an option for you, try to find one in the color of your car.

Macco = cheap and low quality. Yes, they can paint it good, but the price is still very very high. If the price is that high, then go to a pro shop.
