3rd Generation Brake pedal squeeks..

I just searched to see if you guys had any brake squeek threads were like mine so I didn't have to make a new one. I was driving a bit yesterday and I noticed my brake pedal was squeeking a lot when I pressed them. I know this isn't big but can I get rid of the annoying squeek with wd-40 or is it anything bigger?

My 96 V6 does it a bit too. It did not

bother me that much. But if I can get rid of it, it
would be nice.

I think I just need to apply some grease (which I think
will last longer than WD-40) to the hinge or the spring
that is connecting or holding back the brake pedal.
Just need to check my Haynes manual.

wow this is the biggest problem in camry land. i can remember being a member on a vw forum. what a difference!!!

seriorusly though, my car did this until i put some gear oil on the linkage under the dash. i would have used a spray lubricant(but i didnt have any) so i used the gear oil and wiped the excess off with a rag. make sure you wipe off the excess so you dont end up getting any on your clothes in the future.

I'd htink that wd-40 would do it.....or a longer lasting solution would be white-lithium grease spray
