Have a few questions...well first off which battery is better? optima yellow top or a stinger sp1000? Second...whats the safest way to change a battery? I have an audio system connected to my current battery as well as a 2way pager alarm...I know my stereo settings will reset once I switch batteries, but what about my pager alarm? Last question...does anyone know if stinger sp1000 will fit a 94 camry v6? or does anyone know what model optima battery fits a 94 camry?
all batteries can fit in all cars, unless you get a top mount battery when your car requires a side mount battery....and then you can usually still make it work if you want.....
and the camry has enough room to fit any battery
if you want a battery for your system, the yellowtop is a good choice
the only thing that I can suggest is that if you have a cap for your system, make sure you drain it first, or else you can blow your amp

I've been doing some research lately and it looks like the Oddysey batteries are the way to go(they make the Stinger batteries)(hawker is the company that makes Odyssey). Check out the PC1200MJT (froogle it) http://www.enersysreservepower.com/ody_b.asp?brandID=5
Bringing this thread from the dead. Anyways...what would be a good odyssey battery for gen 5 camry. I Was looking at the odyssey PC1200MJT. BUT it just seems a bit small. I mean it does the job, but i kind of wanted something that would fit nice and has the side post mount as well as top mount. I Was looking at the PC1500DT, nad might be considering that battery. I mean s far as how batteries can be cool. I kinda like the look of the 1200MJT, and the fact that they had gold plated terminals. Anyways..any feedback on these two would be nice

Not so...every car has a minimum CCA (cold cranking amp) spec. Having too much power is never a problem of course, but too little CCA is a problem. The little bitty Honda civic battery may fit in the space but do you really want it in your V6 Camry?
Moreover, they make about 6 or 8 or 10 or i-dont-know how many different size batteries and if you get the wrong one, it either won't fit in the battery space, or you won't be able to close the hood because the battery is too tall. Also the positive and negative posts do vary in positioning from one battery to another: Some have negative post left and positive right, others are the reverse of this. You can sometimes make this work, if you have to, but only if your battery cables are long enough to reach across!
