i got these gauges that are suppose to glow up at night, and i try to install them =[ ... i actually super glu them on , well every thing looks perfect? Im not sure where my headlight power supply is? can some one show me a picture? , basically i didint hook up any thing just put the new gauges over the old one.. , i plug every thing back in, but when i start my car my RPM or Speedometer or Gas thing wouldnt move...... but the hot and cold gauge works.. the airbag light is always on now for sum reason? , basically all the lights seem to work.. , Some reason my cruise control isnt working.. but the light that says cruise is.. ohh yeah and one last thing my speedometer stays at 20 mphs.. !! Can someone please help me i dont know what to do!
hahahah i just installed el gagues i can answer ur all ur questions # 1 ur not suppose to glue dem because when you put the gagues over the top of ur factors it gets to bulky and the needle will get stuck # 2 when u place the screws in MAKE SURE IT IS SCREWED in tight because i didnt and and my needle got stuck .. well my car is a 1998 camry and the headlight lamp is the green wire under your fuse box ( BE CAREFULL NOT TO PULL THE WRONG WIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! der are more than one green wire sometimes.!!. you need a testlight. its a device where you ground one side to the cars bare metal and the other side is a needl and you jam it into the wires to test which light is your drive light to make 100% sure. DONT FOOL AROUND with the wires because u can blow fuses eaily that damn thing made me blow 2 fuses!! because in the end i found out my testlight was broken lol... Oo btw if der is electicial current the test light will go on.!)
when i installed mine, i had a button to turn them on or off, and what i did was connect the power to the hot wire for my cd player, and the ground also to my cd player ground... but if yours doesnt have a button or switch dont go that way, or buy a little switch at discoun tautoparts, and wire from any hot wire in the car.
so in my situation right now , do u think i can still make it work? even though i super glu it already? , im pretty sure i just missed wire or did sum thing wrong in the back.. damm my speedometer looks funky=/ it says 20 mphs!
Super glue worked fine for me this is my 2nd indiglo that I installed since I got tired of the last one. But make sure during the install you DIDN'T take off the needles when putting on the indiglos and make sure your needle is not UNDER the little pointer that holds the needle upward, check every plug behind the cluster I'm sure one is not plugged or loose. Make sure your indiglo is grounded and to a power suppy most likely in your fuse box, the fuse that turns on your headlights. Chances that your guages are rubbing the needles are slim since you said both your Rpm and speedo dont move thats like putting on the guages blindly.
my glue is holding up well after about eight months.. i used fabric glue. I had to reglue the speedo about seven times to get it to not stick... I ended up ripping off the stock denso gauge face and gluing the indiglow straight to the clear plexi glass where the factroy gauge was. Theres no going back now but it worked and I am snag free.
just watch out with that glue if it gets cold in your area. It expands when it freezes when the temperature is in the 30s and causes the needle to snag until the car is warm.
It takes a ton of patience and its very frustrating to get these to work... I almost wish I never bothered,
